Be prepared for a picture overload!
This past month sure has been a little crazy! On the night of Thursday the 3rd, Jeff started having stomach pains. He thought it was just something we ate ("tuna surprise!" Ha ha!), but he couldn't get to sleep despite all he tried to do to relieve the pain. We ended up calling both sets of our parents at about 4:00 AM on Friday morning to see what we should do. We took him to the doctor to get checked at 9:00 AM, to the hospital for a blood draw and CT scan right after that, then Jeff got a blessing from my dad and a good neighbor, and then we went to another hospital around 1:00 to have him get his appendix out! It was quite the ordeal. My dad was able to watch Grant while we were at the doctor's and at the first hospital (thanks, Dad!), but then I took Grant to Provo with us when Jeff was to go into surgery. Unluckily, Grant was hungry and screaming right when we got there. I had to drop Jeff off and feed Grant in the car (UGH!!! NOT a pleasant experience!), and after he was done I dashed inside the surgery place just as the nurse was about to take Jeff off to the surgery room. I cried. Mainly because it had been such a fiasco trying to figure out how to help Jeff and take care of Grant at the same time, and I was overwhelmed. I asked the nurse for a few moments more with Jeff, we said a little prayer, and then Jeff was whisked away!
Before surgery:
Jeff's been recovering well. At his 2-week check-up the doctor said everything was healing as it should! I've been grateful to have his help again with Grant...for a solid week it felt like I was a single mother and it was so tiring doing everything by myself! We're so grateful everything turned out just fine, and that Jeff is getting back to normal again.
Despite Jeff getting his appendix removed, he decided we should go on and have Grant's baby blessing on the 6th. It was such a sweet blessing, and we loved having a lot of our family come and support us! We are so blessed!
JoJo was Grant's best friend while her family was here. Whenever I wasn't taking care of Grant, she was. Grant even rolled over for the first time on the ground with her! Thanks for visiting, JoJo! Grant misses you!
The afternoon of the blessing, Jeff's sister Liz was awarded with her Captain's bars. We are so proud of her! She is amazing and such a great leader.

And now: a photo dump! Grant is now two months old! It's crazy to see how much he's grown. We just have too much fun with this little guy.
