Christmas and the New Year

Here's how some of our holiday season went:

Making presents in PawPaw's wood shop.

We made it to Mesa to spend Christmas with Jazzie and her family! GramMi took a nap after the long drive down (about 13 hours with Grant). Wait...where's her other arm??

Bob took all the boys to his Kung Fu studio! He taught them some cool moves and they all had a huge pillow fight!

Grant and his daddy at the playground. The two best-lookin' fellas around!

Kenai actually really liked swinging on the swing with Dano!

Seeing the lights at the Mesa Temple.

JasJas took this cute picture of our little bug with her new camera!

Not the Mama! Too bad he wasn't smiling in this picture!

This is what Tochan would look like if he came from a Mexican mom instead of an Asian one.

Nerf gun wars on Christmas Day! Thanks, JoJo and Fam! The weather was so nice in Mesa that we didn't need to wear jackets!

All 8 of the Wakamatsu grandsons = a super crazy (but oh so fun) time!

GramMi and the two chubbiest grandboys.

We ate yummy Asian food and played Make 'N' Break at Auntie Roma's house!

PawPaw challenged Jeff and Derrick to do a polar bear plunge! The water was FREEZING and they almost didn't survive doing 2 laps, but both of them finished and got $5! That's one Hot-N-Ready pizza for each right there!

We were blessed to be able to do temple work in the Mesa Temple for my mom's dad, Tokuzo, one of the great men we named our son after. Such a special day!

We had a wonderful time with all our family together to celebrate the greatest event in history, the birth of our Savior. After a little over a week of relaxing, playing, laughing, loving, and eating, we packed up the cars again drove the long 13 hours back home...

...to spend New Year's Eve eve (we celebrated Christmas Eve), New Year's Eve (Christmas Day that transitioned right into New Year's Eve), and New Year's Day with the Thomases!

We had great fun eating, playing, puzzling, pranking, laughing, relaxing, singing, opening more wonderful presents, snacking, napping, and loving!

New Year's night we had our traditional feast with my family: kalua pig, won tons, beef broccoli, rice, tofu and green beans, mochiko chicken, "jeweled" Jell-O, a ramen salad, andagi, and sherbet punch. GramMi sure outdid herself this year!

We had such a memorable time with all of our family this past holiday season. We love them all so much!
